The 2026 edition of electronic motorway vignettes is available for purchase one month earlier than in the past, while the prices remain the same. NDS advises the drivers to purchase the vignettes through official sales channels to avoid extra fees and potential complications with appeals.

Since taking over the system of motorway vignette sales under the management of Národná diaľničná spoločnosť, a.s. (National Motorway Company, hereafter referred to as “NDS”), several positive changes have been introduced. The portfolio of Slovak motorway vignettes has been extended to include a 1-day vignette, the website has been redesigned and the payment methods have been expanded to include online payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay, thus increasing customer comfort. “These changes make purchasing motorway vignettes more comfortable and flexible, and thanks to modern technologies, the process is faster and easier”, said Peter Braška, Charging and IT Section Director at NDS.

As of January 2025, the rules for purchasing all types of electronic motorway vignettes have been unified. In the past, it was possible to postpone the start of motorway vignette validity by 13 days from the date of purchase; the latest edition enables drivers to postpone the start of vignette validity by 60 days. This longer period allows the drivers to plan their travels more effectively, they can purchase the motorway vignette well in advance and adjust its validity according to their needs.

The prices remain the same: the 365-day vignette costs 90 EUR, the 30-day vignette costs 17.10 EUR, the 10-day vignette is available for 10.80 EUR, and the 1-day vignette costs 8.10 EUR. Drivers will pay the same prices as in 2025.

“We advise drivers to purchase the motorway vignettes only through the official sales channels. This is the best and safest way to get a valid vignette for the lowest price possible,” informs Mr. Braška. The motorway vignette can be purchased via the website www.eznamka.sk, the eZnamka mobile app, or at Information and Sales Points located at motorway border crossings.
