One of the most recent updates is the possibility to pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay when purchasing the electronic motorway vignette online. More than 70 thousand drivers have used this new payment method so far.
Three-quarters of drivers have purchased the electronic motorway vignette using the online sales channels. “Sales of motorway vignettes via the www.eznamka.sk website or the eZnamka mobile app are increasing. More and more drivers prefer the quick and easy online purchase, which drives us to work on improving its efficiency even more. Our goal is to offer the drivers a convenient, fast and hassle-free purchase of motorway vignettes.” said Peter Braška, the Charging and IT Section Director at NDS.
However, there is still quite a large group of drivers who prefer to buy the electronic motorway vignette in person rather than online, and NDS has not forgotten them. Around a quarter of all users still buy motorway vignettes in stores. In early October, NDS announced a so-called public proposal aiming to expand its network of electronic motorway vignette sales points.
