The National Motorway Company advises motorists who wish to use this section of the R1 from Thursday, November 27, to drive with a valid vignette. If they have already used the section today, they can purchase a motorway vignette during the course of today until midnight. This will allow them to avoid the risk of a fine. The National Motorway Company is not interested in penalizing motorists; on the contrary, it wants to minimize the number of trips without a vignette.
The National Motorway Company also warn that a motorway vignette is also required on the newly opened section of the R2 Kriváň – Mýtna.
