Národná diaľničná spoločnosť, a.s. (the National Motorway Company, hereafter referred to as “NDS”) has recently made the motorway vignette sales system significantly more user-friendly. However, drivers still make mistakes when purchasing motorway vignettes due to inattention or time constraints. Therefore, please find below a summary of the five most common errors that drivers should avoid to prevent unnecessary complications.

The electronic motorway vignettes are now available for purchase at selected Slovak Post branches. Furthermore, as of March 1, 2026, it is possible to apply for exemption from vignette payment at eight main regional post offices.

Since taking over the system under its management, several changes have been introduced to improve user comfort and simplify the purchase of motorway vignettes.

National Motorway Company warns drivers against fake websites selling electronic motorway vignettes. The customer pays, but receives no motorway vignette, while handing over his personal data to unknown fraudsters. NDS reminds the drivers that the only official website selling Slovak motorway vignettes is www.eznamka.sk.
