National Motorway Company warns drivers against fake websites selling electronic motorway vignettes. The customer pays, but receives no motorway vignette, while handing over his personal data to unknown fraudsters. NDS reminds the drivers that the only official website selling Slovak motorway vignettes is www.eznamka.sk.

From 1 January 2016 motorists only have electronic vignette available.

Also in 2017 holders of the parking pass for the severally disabled are able to use the specified sections of motorways and expressways free of charge.

Národná diaľničná spoločnosť, a.s. (National Motorway Company, hereafter referred to as “NDS”) is continuously improving its services in the area of electronic vignette sales. The company has taken over the system of motorway vignettes and continues to update it to simplify the purchase of motorway vignettes and make it more user-friendly.

One year ago, on 1 August 2024, the 1-day electronic motorway vignette was introduced in Slovakia. It brought more flexibility and easier planning for drivers using the Slovak motorways. Popular not only among foreign drivers as one of the most practical holiday options, it is also favoured by Slovak drivers. During the first year of its existence, around 1,7 million 1-day vignettes were sold, with 61 % purchased by foreign drivers and 39 % by Slovaks.

In 2025, Národná diaľničná spoločnosť, a.s. (the National Motorway Company, hereafter referred to as “NDS”) sold almost six million motorway vignettes, representing an annual increase of 8.6 %. As usual, the most popular type was the 10-day vignette with 2.5 million vignettes sold last year, representing almost half of all vignettes sold.
