The PSD2 (Payment Service Directive 2) EU Directive entered into force in January 2021 and it brought changes in the security and unification of payments within the EU.

Národná diaľničná spoločnosť, a.s. (National Motorway Company, hereinafter referred to as “NDS”) sold almost 5.5 million electronic motorway vignettes last year, whereas 70% of all the vignettes were purchased through online sales channels of NDS.

Over the past few days, Národná diaľničná spoločnosť (the National Motorway Company) has received several complaints concerning fake text messages about the motorway vignette. The fraudulent messages inform about unpaid invoices, unpaid fines or additional payments for the motorway vignette. These messages do not come from the National Motorway Company.

As of 1 February 2020 SkyToll is expanding its range of electronic vignette types in accordance with the current legislation.

As of 21 December 2019 motorists can pay for an electronic vignette valid for 2020. The price of electronic vignettes remains unchanged.

Since taking over the system under its management, several changes have been introduced to improve user comfort and simplify the purchase of motorway vignettes.

This weekend the National Motorway Company (Národná diaľničná spoločnosť, a.s.) is going to launch a presale of e-Vignettes valid for 2019.
