Exemption from payment
This year holders of parking passes for the severely disabled could register the vehicle that they wanted to be exempt from payment in advance by sending a request to the address of the National Motorway Company.
Following the registration, the National Motorway Company sent the "Confirmation of vehicle registration" to the motorist's address.
What does not change
Registration of the exemption from vignette payment from 2015 is also valid for 2016. This means that the existing registrations of exempt vehicles in this year will also remain valid for the next year. Exempt vehicles do not need to ask for registration repeatedly.
In the case that a holder of a parking pass for the severely disabled has not sent a request for exemption from vignette payment, he/she can do so until 31 December 2015 in the same way as before. On the website www.dialnicnenalepky.sk he/she can find a simple procedure for requesting an exemption from vignette payment, and this URL also provides the necessary forms for submitting the request. The request for exemption from vignette payment shall be sent by holders of the parking pass for the severely disabled by 31 December 2015 to the address of the National Motorway Company.
- the registration of exemption from vignette payment is valid from the date specified on the "Confirmation of vehicle registration" provided that the terms of the registration did not change (termination of the validity of the parking pass for the severely disabled).
What changes
As of 1 January 2016 the procedure for submitting requests for exemption from vignette payment is going to change. As of this date, requests will be submitted directly through the web portal www.eznamka.sk or via selected Points of Sale, which are located in regional cities. The list of these Points of Sale can be found on the website www.eznamka.sk.
As of 1 January 2016 it will not be possible to ask for exemption of a vehicle from vignette payment by post. All the information and forms necessary for submitting a request will be available on the website specified above as of 1 January 2016.
