You are legally entitled to exemption from vignette payment but do not know how to apply for it?
The request for the registration of a vehicle or vehicle combination exempt from vignette payment (hereinafter referred to as "request") must be submitted directly by the operator of the vehicle/vehicle combination. For a natural person who holds the parking pass for the severely disabled, the request may be submitted by his/her authorised person, e.g., a legal representative (hereinafter referred to as "applicant").
The list of groups of vehicles/vehicle combinations that are, pursuant to the relevant provision of Act No. 488/2013 Coll. on Vignette and on amending certain acts as amended (hereinafter referred to as "Act No. 488/2013 Coll. on Vignettes as amended"), exempt from vignette payment and at the same time are obliged to register with the Vignette Payment Collection Administrator is included in the Charged vehicles section, subsection Vehicles exempt from vignette payment.
The applicants (holders of a parking pass for the severely disabled) shall fill in the Request form for exemption from payment for the use of motorways and expressways for holders of a parking pass for the severely disabled, which will state the following data:
- Identification data of the applicant requesting the exemption from vignette payment (i.e., details of the holder of a parking pass for the severely disabled):
- name and surname, date of birth, permanent address, nationality, identity card or passport number;
- contact details: telephone number and/or email address.
- Data of a vehicle (vehicle combination):
- licence-plate number;
- country in which the vehicle or the vehicle combination is registered.
- Annexes to the request (documents identifying the vehicle and the person – holder – of the parking pass):
- copies of both pages of the vehicle technical certificate (registration certificate part II or the vehicle registration certificate or the vehicle technical certificate);
- a copy of both pages of the parking pass.
The applicants (other groups of applicants) shall fill in the Request form for exemption from payment for the use of motorways and expressways, which shall state the following data:
- Identification data of the vehicle/vehicle combination operator:
- name, date of establishment, address of the registered office.
- Contact data of the applicant – the person authorised to act on behalf of the vehicle/vehicle-combination operator:
- name and surname, date of birth, permanent address, nationality, identity card or passport number;
- contact telephone number and/or email address.
- Data of a vehicle (vehicle combination):
- vehicle/vehicles licence-plate number/s;
- country in which the vehicle or the vehicle/vehicles or the trailer/trailers are registered.
- Annexes to the request (documents identifying the vehicle and the person of the vehicle/vehicle-combination operator):
- copy or copies of both pages of the vehicle technical certificate (registration certificate part II or a copy of the vehicle registration certificate or the vehicle technical certificate);
- a copy of the founding charter.
A completed request form, together with the necessary attachments (documents), can be submitted by applicants to the Service Provider in the following ways:
- at selected Points of Sale located in the regional cities, the list of which can be found in the Customer points section, subsection Selected Points of Sale;
- directly through the web portal www.eznamka.sk > type of submission "Request" > "Request for vehicle exemption“
(in this case it is necessary to submit the request in electronic form).
The assessment and handling of requests for the registration of the vehicle or vehicle combination exempt from vignette payment shall be decided solely by the Vignette Payment Collection Administrator (National Motorway Company), at the earliest possible deadline. It is also the responsibility of the Vignette Payment Collection Administrator to deliver the decision for the approval or refusal of the registration of the vehicle or the vehicle combination exempt from vignette payment to the applicant.
If the Vignette Payment Collection Administrator approves the request, it shall deliver to the applicant a certificate of registration called the Opinion on the Request for Registration of Vehicles and/or Vehicle Combinations Exempt from Vignette Payment – Approval. Details of the relevant vehicle shall also be registered in the list of vehicles exempt from vignette payment in the central records of vignette payments.
If the Vignette Payment Collection Administrator refuses the request, it shall deliver to the applicant a decision called Opinion on the Request for Registration of Vehicles and/or Vehicle Combinations Exempt from Vignette Payment – Refusal.
